Center Hill Lake

Normally we go to Pickwick Lake once a summer.  We would go more often if it was closer, but a 3 hour drive isn't that tempting with a baby in tow.  So we were fired up when some friends, Libba and Shannon,  invited us to her parents place on Center Hill Lake.  Knowing that their kids, Hutton(6) and Rollin(4) are the same ages as Jake and Evie, we knew it would be a fun day.  The house was beautiful, and I wish I had taken a picture of her dad's 6 hummingbird feeders.   I have never seen so many hummingbirds in my life.  Swarms and swarms of them.  She said her dad fills up each feeder twice a day.  It was so fun to watch.
I had no idea we would be spending the day on their houseboat, and one of the most beautiful ones I have ever spent time on. We felt so spoiled.   It was a pleasant surprise since we could park Walt's pack n play in the master bedroom for a long nap, and he could crawl around the boat.  The kids loved tubing, jet skiing, jumping off the top of the houseboat, eating lots of junk food, and running wild.  Libba and Shannon are a blast to be with, and they made us feel so at home.  It was one of the best days, if not the best day I have had all summer.  Hope we get to go again.
