Since college, I have always loved Kenny Chesney's music. There are a few cheesy songs, but I love a lot of his lyrics. Jackson used to make fun of me, but after I made him take me to his concert in Charlotte, I caught him with Kenny's cd playing in his car. I LOVED it! And now he admits he enjoys his music. The other day I was playing Pandora in my kitchen, and Kenny's song "Don't Blink" came on. Here are a few of the lyrics ..."Trust me friend, a hundred years goes faster than you think so don't blink" and another one "don't blink....you just might miss your babies growing like mine did..."
As the song was playing I looked over at Walt, and he was dancing in his high chair. I wish I had it on video, but the song made me so sentimental and thankful to be able to watch my kids grow and have the time with them that I do. Obviously, there are hard days, but I am just really thankful today. Maybe I should write a country song.
