Africa

I want to let you know about my cousin's blog (Helen) that shares her experiences in Africa. She has only been there a month, but how God is using her is pretty cool.  I envy her experience because she is able to escape this bubble world we live in that focuses so much on SELF, consumerism, and greed,  and to be a part of something so much bigger.  So much of the world is suffering, and I get caught up in my little selfish world.   I was just looking at my email inbox informing me of West Elm's 4 day sale on storage, the J.Crew deals with free shipping, and my friends baby clothing sale at her home.  Just too many distractions!!
       Last night at my girls bible study we talked about all of this, and what we can do here and now, where God has us in this moment.  Be so filled with His love, that we overflow to everyone we meet.  That reminds me of a quote from my bible teacher in Colorado, "a full cup is prone to overflow."      So, if you want to be inspired read her blog.  Grab a tissue while you are at it.    http://www.africachristian.org/   Make sure you read the "Throwing Starfish" entry.    And just in case you need to see our little buddy, here is a recent shot of Walt.  What a love!!
